WINTER GAMES - 2005
The 2005 Massachusetts Senior Games Cross Country Skiing
Championships were held on Saturday, January 29 at the Finnish Center at Saima Park in Fitchburg, MA. The blizzard
of 2005 left plenty of snow and the conditions were perfect. Karl Makela deserves a round of applause for providing
a new course that was challenging and beautiful and then grooming them to perfection. The weather cooperated as
well as the sun was out and there wasn't a cloud in sight. The temperature was around 30 degrees and we couldn't
have asked for anything else.
The 2006 competition will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at the Finnish Center at Saima Park. We hope to
